OpenStudy (xximhisgirlxx):

The first three books in the series have 117, 135, and 117 pages. The author finishes the series with a fourth book that has 151 pages. Which is not true? The range is smaller than the mean. The mean is smaller than the median. The mean is larger than the mode. The median is larger than the mode.

OpenStudy (xximhisgirlxx):

Either A or D

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

The range is max-min, correct?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

range = 151 - 117, So, without any calculations, you know that range<100 And as far as mean is concerned, all value that you have (I'll call it "x"), is greater than 100. (i.e. x>100). So if x>100, for every value in the set, than the mean is also ...?

OpenStudy (xximhisgirlxx):

So, D?
