The lowest point of Death Valley is at an elevation of -282 feet. Which of the following best describes -282 feet? 282 feet below sea level 282 feet above sea level 141 feet below sea level 141 feet above sea level

OpenStudy (boldjon):

Okay so in order to figure this out you have to realize that height (distance) cannot be negative. So all you do is add 282 feet from the mountain and 282 from the valley to get 564ft in the difference of elevations

OpenStudy (123ab456c):

SO WHATS THE ANSWER?

OpenStudy (123ab456c):

Hello. It is against our Anti-Cheating Policy to ask or give direct answers, even if an explanation is provided. OpenStudy is here for you to use as a source to study and learn, but it is not here as a source to cheat. Please try to work with the user who is helping you to learn the material. Also, remember to be kind!

OpenStudy (123ab456c):

then how come everybody else gives me answers

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

They are doing so in violation of OpenStudy's Anti-Cheating Policy. Those users should be reported immediately.

OpenStudy (123ab456c):

why

OpenStudy (boldjon):

thank u @Whitemonsterbunny17

OpenStudy (123ab456c):

its not like u r gonna go 2 jail

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Why? OpenStudy is intended for the purpose of learning and studying. We must also work in compliance with the rules that many schools enforce. When a direct answer is given, it is cutting the asker short of the opportunity to learn. It may not seem like it, but your school gives you this information to study for good reason. Most colleges and careers will both require and expect you to have such knowledge.

OpenStudy (boldjon):

well let's put it this way, u made this account a long time ago, u've been helping people and made lots of friends along the way. do u really wanna to get ur account banned for telling the answer to someone
