PLEASE HELP ASAP!! DUE MONDAY!! WILL FAN AND MEDAL!! 1. How did European Christian views of infidels lead to the Crusades? 2. Why did a taste for vernacular literature such as the chanson de geste develop in the twelfth century?

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

what do i think about what? @neonumbrella5115 IDK thats why i put the questions on here so i can get help

OpenStudy (surana):

Okay, basically, the European Christians had a view of "Jerusalem is ours, not yours, because you're not Christians, so we're going to take it back by force" and that led to the whole Crusade thing. Second one, I'm not all too familiar with that, but I'd theorize that it was because the medieval times were around at that era and it was all stories of knights slaying each other and winning glory and whatnot. Just my personal guess.
