Can someone please explain the answer to this question?!! I don't understand the answer. Which of the following enabled the formation of true cells? answer - heredity

also, why are you saying that the answer is heredity? because this answer doesnt make sense in question's context

That is the full question and they give you the answers with it and it says the answer is heredity. The choices were the ozone layer heredity microspheres endosymbiosis

Well, true cells are cells that have a nucleus, organelles and other cell structures and processes and heredity is the passing on of physical or mental characteristics genetically from one generation to another. Could it mean that true cells are created via meiosis (and therefore heredity)?

OpenStudy (somy):

that answer is incorrect, its not heredity, i searched a bit and what i see everywhere is endosymbiosis and it makes perfect sense

Thank you... So my teacher was wrong! Endosymbiosis was what I put as the answer at first!
