OpenStudy (kcountrygirl98):

Which genre of music do you feel the most connection to and why? And which genre do you feel the least connection to and why?

OpenStudy (adamgrimm):

I feel the most connection in the music genre rock/metal/alternative because I understand the word's and because it calm's me down. I feel the least connection in the music genre rap/pop/hip hop because I don't feel anything when I listen to it an I don't understand that type of music what so ever.

OpenStudy (kcountrygirl98):

Thank you! I know everyone has different opinions and personal stories but I'm sure plenty of people would agree with you!

OpenStudy (adamgrimm):

It's no problem and I don't think many people would agree with me

OpenStudy (kcountrygirl98):

I actually know quite a few people that have that same opinion! :)

OpenStudy (adamgrimm):

you like country?

OpenStudy (kcountrygirl98):

Yes I love country!

OpenStudy (adamgrimm):

who's your Favorite band/singer

OpenStudy (skarlettrose186):

I feel the least connection to rock/heavy metal. I don't know why. It's probably that half of the time I can't understand the words so it doesn't have any meaning to me. I feel the most connection to country I was raised on country music and I love most of it. I have most of the songs memorized and most of them have meaning and they force me to think or feel emotion and that's what music should do.

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

i think any genre can really connect to people especially if the lyrics can relate.

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

for example, certain rap can really connect to people while others are just ignorant lol

OpenStudy (hope210):

I feel the most connection with Country music because when I listen to it I feel like I getting told a story, My Story. The genre I least connect to is Heavy metal and I don't know exactly why I don't like but it might be because it gives me headaches when I listen to it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The genre I feel most connected to is oldies (oldies but goodies) because i just really like the lyrics and it puts me in a chiil mood The genre i hate is country

OpenStudy (kcountrygirl98):

@adamgrimm My favorites right now are the little bit older country singers like Willie Nelson, Randy Travis, stuff like that. But I do really like Rascal Flatts. Their songs have amazing vocals and the messages are very good. @SkarlettRose186 I agree definitely to an extent. It is messy alot of the time, but some of it is pretty decent. @dtan5457 I asked which genre people felt the MOST connection to. Thanks anyways. @Hope210 I definitely agree with the best connection to country! Great pick! Sometimes heavy metal is used as an "escape" from the real world, whereas country is basically laying out reality in your face. The individuals that prefer heavy metal are usually going through a very low dark time in their lives, or it's just what they like. Country is just a little more laid back in my opinion. I'm more down to earth I guess. @andy_sp310 that's a good pick! I don't get that one hardly at all anymore. And why do you hate country?

OpenStudy (hope210):

I love Rascal Flatts! My favorite song of theirs is "Why" it is sad but it has a lot of meaning to it.

OpenStudy (kcountrygirl98):

Yeah my favorite song is "Why" and "Forever." They played "Forever" at my best friend's funeral. Long story why it means so much but yeah I think country is just so down to earth.

OpenStudy (adamgrimm):

I'm more into Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, and Nickelback

OpenStudy (hope210):

@adamgrimm I like all of those too. And @kcountrygirl98 I'm sorry about your friend I know what its like to lose someone too , I like to escape through music when I 'm bad things happen it helps me cope.

OpenStudy (kcountrygirl98):

Definitely and @adamgrimm I love those too!

OpenStudy (adamgrimm):

i block out everything when i listen to my music it helps me think and calm

OpenStudy (kcountrygirl98):

I definitely agree! ☺️☺️

OpenStudy (hope210):

yeah music helps me so much more than anyone could understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kcountrygirl98 i hate it because my dad listens to it all the time and so i get bored of it
