OpenStudy (michele_laino):

the requested slope, is given by the subsequent computation: \[m = \frac{{2 - 1}}{{ - 2 - 0}} = ...?\]

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

here is the general formula: \[m = \frac{{{y_2} - {y_1}}}{{{x_2} - {x_1}}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so it would be 1 over -2?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

yes! that's right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm.. so the final question is if y = 3.5x and we have to compare that to what we just did right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-1/2
