Explain why New England—where few slaveholders lived—was involved in a triangular trade that sold and transported millions of enslaved Africans.

Out of all the 13 colonies, New England held the largest port. It was the main stop used by traders and merchants to sell their goods, (which was why Britain closed the port after the boston tea party - it was meant to cripple the colonies).
