OpenStudy (wil476003):

ok with what

alones (alones):

i just need to see if i'm right Find the solution set of |2x-3| + 1 = 6. x = 5 or x = -2

OpenStudy (wil476003):

the answer would be x=4 do you need the explination

alones (alones):

sure

OpenStudy (wil476003):

ok so you do -1 on both sides which leaves you with [2x-3]=5 then the brackets just disappear then you add 3 to both sides so you get 2x=8 and divide both sides by 2 so you get x=4

alones (alones):

O_o i see ..thx :P.. |2x-3| + 1 = 6 for ma answer

OpenStudy (wil476003):

correct the answer would be x=4
