what best explains why magnets can push or pull on other magnets without touching them i will give a medal to whoever helps me

Because magnets have positive and negative sides, they can push or pull. In magnets case, opposites attract. BUt when you put the 2 ends of a magnet close enough together, (and they are both positive, or they are both negative) the force in between them will push against eachother. Just play around with some magnets and you'll see what I mean :) @williamson
