The cubic root of a number is the number than when you cube it, you get the original number. Cubing a number is multiplying a number by itself two times. 5^3 = 5 * 5 * 5 = 25 * 5 = 125 2^3 = 2 * 2 * 2 = 4 * 2 = 8 4^3 = 4 * 4 * 4 = 16 * 4 = 64 1^3 = 1 * 1 * 1 = 1 Notice that when you cube 1, the answer is 1, so the cubic root of 1 is 1. \(\sqrt[3] 1 = 1\)
