What are 6 depositional events forming sedimentary rock?
Can you name a few?
Sandstone, Conglomerate, Breccia, Siltstone, Rock salt, and Limestone @neonumbrella5115
I don't know this off the top of my head, but here is a website that may help; http://www.tulane.edu/~sanelson/eens1110/sedrx.pdf
Thanks, how would I use the info because I need to describe how 6 different geological layers formed for my geographic profile @neonumbrella5115
for ex: the oldest sedimentary rock layer is sandstone, which was caused by ...
basically how did the layer end up there
they have to be different for all 6 so it cant be weathering or erosion, so its probably something that causes the weathering and erosion like rain or something idk ?
So the list at the beginning gives you the steps that the sedimentary rock takes to form, so maybe use some of those like "in a landslide"
Or "broken down in a river"
oh ok thanks so much @neonumbrella5115
Your welcome! Tag me with any more questions, I'd love to help. Maybe a medal? xD
sorry i forgot u could give those lol
last thing: should i search up the different types of sedimentation, and will that give me types of ways that rocks are sedimented? would that be a correct way o describe my rock layers being formed?
@neonumbrella5115
Yes!
close this question plz
lol
