A ramp is 17 feet long, rises 8 feet above the floor, and covers a horizontal distance of 15 feet, as shown in the figure. http://assets.openstudy.com/updates/attachments/558425ade4b0cb8c62eaa8d6-k.d600-1434723784128-ae06e9b183454d51b6bd35a150927de1.jpeg
What question are they asking?
The ratio of sin b to sin B is equal to tan B. a)cos b & a)cos B b)sin a b)sin A c)Cos A c)cos A
??
can you post a screenshot of the full question?
ok I see now. Thanks.
What do you think?
what are the options for the first drop down box?
The ratio of sin b to sin B is equal to tan B. a)cos b & a)cos B b)sin a b)sin A c)Cos A c)cos A
so the first drop down box has cos B, sin A, and cos A right? or no?
I'm about to do them over I had error
ok I'll be right back
ok hopefully you're learned in your lesson/lectures somewhere that tan = sin/cos this is one of the many trig identities
so this means \[\Large \tan(x) = \frac{\sin(x)}{\cos(x)}\] \[\Large \tan(B) = \frac{\sin(B)}{\cos(B)}\] so tan(B) is the ratio of sin(B) to cos(B)
Thank You!
you're welcome
