A bag contains 12 red marbles and 4 blue marbles. What is the ratio, written in lowest terms, of red marbles to the total number of marbles in the bag?

red marble ratio would be like 3:1 or something like that i believe.

Yeah, Red would be 3, Blue would be 1. So 3:1

Just to explain, if you have 12 red and four blue, you would write it as 12:4, but you need in in lowest terms therefore, you find the highest number they can both divide into evenly (4). This means you divide each side by 4, leaving you with the ratio of 3:1 I know its really late but I hope this helps.
