Complete the table below to solve the equation 2.5x − 10.5 = 64(0.5x). x f(x) = 2.5x − 10.5 g(x) = 64(0.5x) 2 3 4 5 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) = 2.5x - 10.5 2: -5.5 3: -3 4: - 0.5 5: 2 6 4.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g(x) = 64( 0.5 ^ x) 2: 16 3: 8 4: 4 5: 2 6: 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can i help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you look at it try to multiply the answer bye the one you are trying to multiply with then divide you mite get the answer or not that is what i do but i dont always get the answer right

OpenStudy (anitas.):

1. Simplify brackets 2.5x−10.5=64×0.5x 2 Simplify 64×0.5x to 32x 2.5x−10.5=32x 3 Subtract 2.5x from both sides −10.5=32x−2.5x 4 Simplify 32x−2.5x to 29.5x −10.5=29.5x 5 Divide both sides by 29.5 −0.35593220339=x 6 Switch sides x=−0.35593220339 this is what i got for the first one!!

OpenStudy (anitas.):

is this helpful? @Snowman16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks! I know how to do it. I'm just asking if my math is correct

OpenStudy (anitas.):

oh ok do you need to know if the other ones are correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, I just want to make sure they are correct before I send them in

OpenStudy (anitas.):

ok

OpenStudy (anitas.):
