NEED HELP REAL BAD STUCK ON IT FOR 45MINS
Diana made a recipe that yields 6 and 1 over 2 cups. If each serving is 1 over 4 cup, which expression will help Diana determine the number of servings her recipe will yield? 6 and 1 over 2 ⋅ 1 over 4 6 and 1 over 2 ÷ 1 over 4 6 and 1 over 2 + 1 over 4 6 and 1 over 2 − 1 over 4
Okay, first answer me this. Say you have 8 slices of pizza, and each person wants 2 slices, how many people can you serve?
4
EXACTLY. How did you figure out it was 4?
multiplying
show me what you did.
umm, im pretty good with math and all i did was use my fingers counting 2 4 6 8
(-8.5)(-5)(-2)=(-8.5)[(-5)(-2)]=(-8.5)[10]=-85
Well, what I'm getting at is that to find how many people you can serve, you would divide 8 total slices by 2 sices per person, to get 4 people. Use the same concept with this problem.
If you have 6 1/2 cups of food, and one serving is 1/4 cups, how many people can you serve with that?
PS @Vickyisthesmartone123 is incorrect
