Use the distance formula to see if at least two sides are congruent. Use the slope formula to see if any sides are perpendicular. Use the distance formula to see if all three sides are congruent. Use the slope formula to see if any sides are parallel.
Distance formula for each side would be a proof, if through it we can see that ALL sides are equal. (But not A, since it has to be for all 3 sides, not for just 2) If any of the sides are perpendicular, then it is NOT an equilateral. Distance formula is a PROOF, if all 3 sides are equal. If any of the sides are parallel, then it is NOT a triangle at all.
