@Study312

OpenStudy (study312):

Multiple choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do i do LxWxH

OpenStudy (study312):

I would think, what's messing me up is I don't remember using H before. one sec

OpenStudy (civicsiscool44):

i have no clue

OpenStudy (study312):

@LegendarySadist got a sec? its area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So let's set \[\large \sf L=447\]\[\large \sf W=413\]\[\large \sf H=729\] \[\large \sf SA=(2LW)+(2LH)+(2WH)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok now what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's it. SA stands for Surface Area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

OpenStudy (study312):

So (2LW) is like LW two times?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. 1589 ft2 B. 9534 ft2 C. 811,551 ft2 D. 1,623,102 ft2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, since there are two faces that would be LW

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is for the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know how i got it lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean, I gave you the formula and the values, all you had to do was crunch the numbers to get the answer. Do your share.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so i jest used a calculator and it gave me 134581419

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Much closer, but you are still off so you must have done something wrong. Either way, you should be able to see what the answer is, even if you didn't calculate it exactly right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im really bad at math like really bad

OpenStudy (study312):

so LW is 447 + 413?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plugging in numbers is not difficult, I can't see how anyone is better or worse at it. And @Study312 447 * 413

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, I see you were referring to figuring out based on the answer you got

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so 447*413=184611

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, your new answer is still way off, I didn't notice it the first time looking at it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait 447*413 does not = 184611

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, it does = 184611

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Buddy, I can't teach you to read and to plug in values for a formula. Ask someone in real life. This isn't something I can teach over the internet.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so now do i do 184611*729

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please just ask someone in real life. No offense to you, but I don't want to take half an hour explaining this. This would be much easier to have explained by someone in real life.

OpenStudy (study312):

so I got 8,970 from 2 • 447 + 413 • 2 + 447 • 2 + 729 • 2 + 2 • 413 + 729 • 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its ok i will

OpenStudy (study312):

Maybe if you did the first one we could catch on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\large \sf SA= (2 \times 447 \times 413) + (2 \times 447 \times 729) + (2 \times 413 \times 729)\]

OpenStudy (study312):

Thx LegendarySadist, that helps

OpenStudy (study312):

I did that and I got a number bigger than the calculator 0_0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 got 1623102
