Latavia purchased adult and child tickets for the fall festival. Tickets cost $14.88 for each adult and $8.88 for each child. Let x represent the number of adult tickets purchased and y represent the number of child tickets purchased. Write an expression to represent the total cost of the tickets Latavia purchased. ($14.88 + $8.88)(x + y) ($14.88 - $8.88)(x + y) $14.88y + $8.88x $14.88x + $8.88y

As you see the tickets of adults are represented by x so we multiply the amount of 1 ticket to the quantity so $14.88x and similarly for child it is $8.88y as they are represented by y. So we add both of them and last option is correct
