Yves bought 420 tropical fish for a museum display. He bought 6 times as many parrotfish as angelfish. How many of each type of fish did he buy? Which is a system of equations to model the problem if x represents the number of angelfish Yves bought, and y represents the number of parrotfish he bought? (Points : 1) x + y = 6 y = 420x x + 6y = 420 y = 6x x – y = 420 y = 6x x + y = 420 y = 6x is the answer D?

OpenStudy (decarr432):

Why do you think the answer is d?

OpenStudy (decarr432):

Hello?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

yes D. is right sure - x+y= 420 yes and you know again that he bought 6 times as many parrotfish as angelfish so y=6x - from these result that choice D. is right sure

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

hope you understand it now - yes ?

OpenStudy (narissa):
