Do you know the definition of standard deviation? I had to look it up.

It is saying the difference between the mean avg number of mints in a package and the actual number squared is five right? So looking at the possible answers what would standard deviation have to be if we 100,000 packages for example..

One rule of thumb about standard deviation and a normal distribution is that the area under the curve between the mean - 1 std dev and the mean + 1 std dev is 68% of the population. That means that the area between mean - 1 std dev and the mean is 34% of the population. |dw:1452741655314:dw|
