Which pronoun best completes the sentence? How is the pronoun used? My parents showed my brother and __________ the new piano. A. I; indirect object B. I; direct object C. me; indirect object D. me; direct object i think me direct. correct?
@flcon04
It is direct object but is it I or me
me
its I
Therefor, its B.
oh ok
It should be c, because if you use the sentence without 'brother' it would be "My parents showed i the new piano" which sounds weird. of course if you say "My parents showed me the new piano" it sounds normal. That is how you tell if it is "I" or "me"
i mean D
That"s what I've been told anyway
ok ill go with cheyenne answer cause i thought it was that one too
@annie12m its not D
maybe, ill medaled the person at the end of the quiz who got it correct, ok?
okay cool
anymore questions?
and ill even screen shot it so im not lying, but i gotta finish quiz first
ya there are moer
"If you’re having trouble deciding which one to use in a particular sentence, here's a hint: Take out the other person, and it should be clearer. You are not likely to be tempted to say, “Me joined the chess club,” or “Jill took I to the shop.”"
how many left>
oh thats a good idea, thanks !
well im on the fourth question and there are 10 in all
okay post all 6.
ill do them in different things so i can medal each person for getting it correct seperatly
