Use Pythagorean theorem for bigger triangle calling the unknown side as k.

Can you use the Draw utility, below, to sketch this problem's diagram? That way, you could label the sides appropriately.

the illustration you've already posted doesn't contain a B or D, so it's hard to know to what you're refering.

Make it easier for yourself and for potential helpers through appropriate labeling of your diagrams and use of suitable language: Use "square root of 55" and "8 times the square root of 3" instead of "the square root things."
