\[S = \theta r\] \[\theta = \frac{45 * pi}{180} , r = \frac{ 15 }{ 2 } = 7.5 ft\] \[S = \5.89\]

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

another method, is to solve this proportion: \[\huge C:360 = L:45\] where \(C\) is the length of the circumference, and L is the requested length, so we have: \[\huge \begin{gathered} C = \pi d = 3.14 \cdot 15 = ...? \hfill \\ \hfill \\ L = \frac{{45 \cdot C}}{{360}} = ...?\quad \hfill \\ \end{gathered} \]
