chlorine has a very faint green colour and bromine is orange. what will the colour be before the reaction and what will it change to?
@zaynab123
reaction with what chlorine and bromine mixed together?
do you know somy?
someone help!!!!!!!! :(
?
never seen chlorine react with bromine unless if you are talking about displacement reactions, but for that ur question is not full
ok it is about displacement
oh wait
chlorine + potassium bromide-->bromine + potassium chloride
its 4 this
????????
there will be reaction in chlorine + potassium bromide but there will be no reaction bromine + potassium chloride
because chlorine is more reactive than bromine and so it will displace bromine from potassium bromide and the resulting compound will be potassium chloride second reaction will not happen because bromine is less reactive so it cannot displace Cl from KCl, thus, you end up with the same product = KCl in both cases
what will the colours be?
colorless when dissolved in water as far as i recall
ok thanks
np you better research these stuff on your own first, its better since you will learn something just by searching
k but i dont anything fink about the colour were gonna do an experiment tommovo
thanks bye
