Help on my Napoleon history project??? 1.Protected the people: Identify at least two actions of the leader that benefited or protected the people. Explain. 2. Identify any actions that endangered or compromised the well-being of the people. Explain

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

Do you know about Napoleon. If you have read about him, you can probably identify positive and negative things he did. Like he stopped all the chaos and beheadings after the Revolution and he went to war with, like, everybody except the US, But he sold Louisiana. Some of those things are good for the folks, some not so much.

OpenStudy (gabby1214):

I already have that he started many wars, leading to millions of his people being killed, so he didn't really protect his people with his wars he just caused more death. I can't find any good things about him protected his people other than creating a freedom/equality law. I can only find bad stuff about him other than that

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

Dictators always come to power by offering the people security in exchange for freedoms. The French Revolution happened before Napoleon but didn't go well. Lots of people went to the guillotine and other problems. That all stopped when Napoleon took power. Check your reading for the end of the Revolution or how Napoleon came to power for more details. But basically, he offered security.
