thank you im new here can you help me?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

To find the surface area of a triangular prism we would use this equation....\[SA = wh + lw+lh+ls\] so w=19 h=23 l=38 s=30 so we would input this into the equation....\[SA=19(23)+38(19)+38(23)+38(30)\]now we would solve ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im still quite confused

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Can you please point out as to what you are confused with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well with the whole thing im bad at paying attention and class or i might have missed a day where they explained this so everything is kinda making me lost.....you dont have to help me if you dont want ill try to figure it out

563blackghost (563blackghost):

I can help ^^...can you please tell me what you know about finding areas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know you have to find at least two of the sides lengths...or i got that confused with perimeter hmmm or find the total of width and length and times it by two i doubt i got that right....

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Well you are kind of correct... To find area alone for a square or rectangle we would multiply the two side lengths but with triangles you would multiply the two side lengths but you would then divide by 2... these are the three main ways to find the area alone....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats a little more understanding i might have got it im not a hundred percent sure 3173 mm2 is that right...?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

That is correct ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha awesome thank you for helping me n.n

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Your welcome ^^ if you ever need help in the future and see me on just tag me in your question xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay ill be sure to do that xp byee
