Algebra 23 Online
OpenStudy (babyx3boo):

Find the x and y intercepts of the line represented by the equation: 3 x + 7 y = 63

OpenStudy (babynini):

Hello my dear! the way to find intercepts here is to set either x equal to 0 or y equal to 0.

OpenStudy (babynini):

when x = 0 you get the y intercept when y = 0 you get the x intercept

OpenStudy (babyx3boo):

yes i did that, and i got x= 21 and Y=9 but when I plug it in it equals a higher number and also it comes out wrong.

OpenStudy (babyx3boo):

did you deleted your comment o.o

OpenStudy (babynini):

ooh..hm yes x = 21, y = 9 yeah you got the correct values o.o

OpenStudy (babynini):

i'm not sure why it's coming out to a higher value. Weird. did you copy the question correctly?

OpenStudy (babyx3boo):

yes, i just figure out why I got it wrong is because i had to put them as a pair (21,0) and (0,9) i'm sorry for that, my fault!

OpenStudy (babynini):

oh hehe :) good job!!

OpenStudy (babyx3boo):

thank you :)
