How many subsets of at least one element does a set of six elements have?

So you have a cardinality of 6 for your set. We know that the power set will give every single subset including the null set. Since the null set has less than 1 element, we will take this set out. \[PowerSet=2^A\] where A is the cardinality of your set of six elements. So, you would have 2^6 subsets. But you do not want the null set as a subset. So you would have \[2^6 - 1\] subsets with a least one element for a given set of six elements.

I do not understand that at all, but thank yo for explaining it.
