Write 1 and 3/5 as a improper fraction. Do you know how to do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think 1 5/3?

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

That is not an improper fraction. So an improper fraction is something like 10/9 or 7/4 as the numerator is larger than the denominator. To do this first write 1 as a fraction with 5 as the denominator.

So if you want to write 1 as a fraction, you could write it as 2 halfs or 3 thirds, right? Because if you have two halfs of a pizza, you have one whole pizza. So 1 full pizza would be how many fifths?
