Richard a 54.2% in one of his classes. He needs to get to a 60%. His test is worth 100 points. What does he need on his test to pass?

this one is kinda common sense... if its worth 100 points that probably means each question is worth 10 points if not its still about the same... whenever you see a question that involves 100, 10, or 1000 or any number that includes 10.... you can automatically say the amount of points he needs is equal to the percent he needs... so he will need 60 points to pass :D

There's actually not enough information here to determine the answer. We know how much the test is worth, but we don't know how much everything else was worth, so we can't tell how much a given score on the test will move the grade up or down.
