Question

i know this isnt the place to ask but if im 13, home alone, in sc and someone breaks in my house, i call 911 and tell them where i am and in the meantime they assault me is it legal for me to stab them with a legal knife thats about as long as my hand including fingers?

If they are facing the door you can be taken to jail because they were leaving. If they see and are walking to you then yeah stab them in physical defense. Why is everything ok?

So like if they were walking to the door already and you stab them, they were leaving so you can get to jail.

its just because i live in a criminally area and my moms at work a good portion of the day and i just wanted to know i case. my dad isnt here also so yea. my granny stays with me half the time shes gone but other times she not here and im alone so i wanted to make sure that if in self defense i did such a thing i couldnt like go to jail or whatever

i defineatly woudnt leave my room and attack them...god no. but if they came in my room and found me i wouldnt just sit there and let them kill me or hurt me i keep a knife under my bed for this purpose.
