What is the area of the figure made up of a parallelogram and a right triangle? assessment graphic

OpenStudy (wcrmelissa2001):

Just find the area of the parallelogram and triangle separately and add the two together. The formula for parellelogram is same as that of a rectangle I think. Length * Width The formula for triangle is 1/2 * base * height Add the two together and tada!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The parallelogram has a base of 12 (the horizontal component) and a height of 6 (vertical component)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The triangle has a base of 7.6 and a height of 10.5

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The 7.5 isn't used at all
