I think I remember reading that Christopher Columbus called America the 'New World" So I would guess A.

Oh wait yes its A i just remembered i read the book it is A I just remembered what it said about this so its A

I think its C, because people began to call it the new world when new opportunities came up for the immigrants in europe and they saw it as a new beginning

AND mainly because of the second or i think it was the first industrial revolution opening more job opportunities
