You are making gift bags to give to your friends at a birthday party. You have 36 candy bars, 24 pencils, and 48 erasers to divide among the gift bags. You want to divide the items evenly and not have any items left over. List the common factors of 36, 24, and 48. Which common factor represents the greatest number of gift bags you can make? Explain. If you make the greatest number of gift bags, how many of each item would go in each bag? Show how you know.

I'd start by your limiting factor. your smallest number is 24 you need to look for the biggest number that goes into this number but also the others. Hint try numbers such as 2, 4, 6... and so on.
