Can anyone please tell me which formula to use for the following question: an office is 16 ft long, 12 ft wide & walls are 10 ft high. Floor, ceiling & door won't be painted & there are no ceilings. The door opening measures 3ft x 8ft. Which formula should I use? SA of a rectangle or SA of a rectangular prism? Thanks for any suggestions!

Well what are you solving for, exactly?

the square feet. I need to find out how much paint I would need if a can of paint covers only 100 ft.Thanks!

Well I wouldn't really use the SA formula. Just do 2HW + 2HL - 3*8

It makes sense now! Thank you so much!
