Someone has already mentioned that this U-shaped graph opens down. How would y ou know that? First, y=x^2 denotes a parabolic graph.
Secondly, that coefficient " -2 " forces the upward-opening parabola of y=x^2 to change direction 180 degrees so that the parabola now opens down.
