PLEASE HELP!!! LAST QUESTION :) MEDAL AND FAN GIVEN At the end of April, Mandy told Bill that she has read 16 books this year and reads 2 books each month. Bill wants to catch up to Mandy. He tracks his book reading with a table on his door. Using his table below, what month will Bill have read the same amount of books as Mandy?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

May 4 June 8 July 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer choices are: September October August December

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought it was December at first but I'm not exactly sure how to get to the answer ):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathmate @mathmale @sleepyjess help please!

OpenStudy (jessicaloraine):

I think it is December because 8 times 2 = 16 so as long as mandy does not read any more,Bill will catch up if he reads 2 books per month for 8 months then 4 +8 =12 12 is december. I am not sure if this is right though. I t is a guess

OpenStudy (jessicaloraine):

8 meaning 8 months

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That sounds about right, all the other options don't really seem like there concord with the problem

OpenStudy (jessicaloraine):

I hope you get it right,but I am really sorry if I mentioned the wrong answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's alright! it's better than a guess with no explanation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathmale is december correct? :)

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Please double-check that you've copied down all of the pertinent info. How many books per month does Bill read? How many had he read by the time he starts trying to catch up with Mandy? Does Mandy continue reading books?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would that be august then? because continuing the chart it would be 16, or the next month @mathmale
