PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! https://www.dropbox.com/s/3ozelnzrr6o4qgx/Screenshot%202016-01-17%2013.07.37.png?dl=0

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

@boldjon are you here ?

OpenStudy (boldjon):

yeah

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so try writing pythagora for length of hypotenuse and see what will get

OpenStudy (boldjon):

uhhhhh how do i do that

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so you dont know the Pythagora's theorem in case of a right triangle ? square of hypothenuse^2 = 1side ^2 +2side^2 yes ?

OpenStudy (boldjon):

no i don't

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

you have learned it sure - because without this theorem this not can solving and then you see these choices there are this theorem used so what i have wrote above hypothenuse^2 = a side^2 + b side ^2 10^2 = (x+2)^2 +x^2 so do you see now the right choice ?

OpenStudy (boldjon):

kinda

OpenStudy (boldjon):

so it asking to find the perimeter?

OpenStudy (boldjon):

pretty much gotta find alll the solutions that leads to the answer right?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

ok i see it now so than area is 24 how you get the length of sides what equation use for it ? yes ? so in this case you need to know formula for area of a rigth triangle - do you know it ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

area = base *height/2 yes ?

OpenStudy (boldjon):

1/2bh?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

yes than you think that bh is in numerator

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so rewriting it 24=x*(x+2)/2 yes ?
