Suppose we do the following experiment: we start with a negatively charged sphere one meter away from a positively charged sphere, both carrying a charge of 1 coulomb (-1C and +1C). We bring a third negatively charged sphere (-1C also) and place it very close to (but not touching) the positive sphere. What is now the force on the first negatively charged sphere?
