ln(y)=1..... y=???

OpenStudy (chrisplusian):

Dumb question I know... but we are working on a group assignment and we all came to different answers, but it is the same two answers I will show you what we did and maybe someone can explain which one is wrong and why

OpenStudy (chrisplusian):

\[\ln(y)=1\rightarrow e^{y}=1\]

OpenStudy (chrisplusian):

^^^^ Changing from logarithms to exponents this clearly shows y=0

OpenStudy (chrisplusian):

but the other half of the group did this....
