OpenStudy (photon336):

@WhatEven if you notice in that problem 8a was factored out. so every term in that polynomial is divided by 8a.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so we have 5x^2,3x and 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well that's what I got anyway

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Still there?

OpenStudy (photon336):

Yes i'm here

OpenStudy (photon336):

take look at this 40ax^2+24ax+32a 8a was factored out right? so when we multiply 8x by each term we should get the terms we had in the original polynomial, let's do this that. remember we're just factoring out a common term that's in all three terms in the polynomial. 8a(5x^2+3x+4) so 8a times 5x^2 gives us 40ax^2 8a times 3x = 24ax 8a times 4 = 32a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait so (5x^2+3x+4) is or isn't my answer? @Photon336
