So I am doing a problem for my Earth-Space science class, on the scientific method. I chose a scenarios, and now I have to establish what I would do, for each part of the scientific method based on that scenario. Scenario: "Your family has planted a garden. You observe that some of the plants in the garden have teeth marks in them. What is eating the plants? " I have everything, but I am not sure how to do the experiment and the data based on the experiment. Any ideas help, thanks!!!

I have a few ideas: 1) Collect data on different species of animals, most likely insects, bite marks. Or what plants do they most likely eat, what areas do they live in? Look up what areas it lives in. 2) Try to catch any insect you think is the plant-eater, or which animals does your collection of data leads you towards. Give it a leaf of your sample plant. Run three or more tests jjjuuuusttt to make sure you have the right bug. data : 3) Bug 1: rarely touched the leaf in experiment 1 2, and 3. Bug 2: Made moon shape bite marks, our bug makes dotted lines. Bug 3: Somewhat small dotted lines, similar to our bite marks, really likes these types of leaves. Conclusion: I inferred from my data/experiment that Bug 3 is most likely to be the bug we are looking for.

Thanks so much!!! I never thought of doing it that way!
