Medal for best answer!!!!! The Harlowe school district gives awards to its schools based on overall student attendance. The data for attendance are shown in the table, where Low represents the fewest days attended and High represents the most days attended for a single student. School Low High Range Mean Median IQR σ High School A 98 180 82 158 148 55.5 35.2 High School B 105 180 75 145 124 48.5 28.2 High School C 102 180 78 169 151 53.5 31.3 Part A: If the school district wants to award the school that has the most consistent attendance among its students, which high school should it choose and why?

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

Part B: If the school district wants to award the school with the highest average attendance, which school should it choose and why? Justify your answer mathematically.

Can someone plz help me?/

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

Yes, I will help, just a sec, ill work out the problem.......................

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well part A is school B because it has the highest low.

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

Ok, i got the answer.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Part B I will leave to ^

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

This is what I got for both. Part A: The school that gets the award for the most consistent attendance among its students is High School B. This is because its range is the smallest (meaning there is a smaller variation in the highest and lowest values) and because the interquartile range is the smallest (meaning that the data is the spread out the least). Part B: The school that gets the award for the highest average attendance among its students is High School C. This is because its mean and median are the highest, (meaning that more kids attended school on average).

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

You looked that up

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

Yup. But I checked it, and its valid. I dont need a medal. I just liked helping.

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

Can u help me with another?

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

Yeah, sure.

Out of the total 35 people who liked apple juice, eight liked orange juice also. There were 20 people who liked orange juice. Part A: Summarize the data by writing the values that the alphabets A to I in the table below represent. (5 points) Like apple juice Do not like apple juice Total Like orange juice A B C Do not like orange juice D E F Total G H I Part B: What percentage of the total people did not like either apple or orange juice? (3 points) Part C: Do the people surveyed have more dislike for apple juice than orange juice? Justify your answer

OpenStudy (thadds2003):
