Osama Bin Laden was against America "occupying the land of two holy sanctuaries". The two holy sanctuaries he referred to are Mecca and Medina, both in Saudi Arabia. He was insulted when American forces were deployed in Saudi Arabia, for nationalistic and religious reasons.
