can you simplify X’Y’Z + (X’Y’Z)’ ? (Boolean....)

OpenStudy (freckles):

replace X'Y'Z with u you have u+u'=?

OpenStudy (freckles):

the + means inclusive or right? inclusive or means....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know U+U' =1 in Boolean but how I should get there from the given equation?

OpenStudy (freckles):

you can do a truth table for u+u'

OpenStudy (freckles):

are you confused about the other operations going on?

OpenStudy (freckles):

X’Y’Z + (X’Y’Z)’ you don't even need to look at then and stuff going on... this is equivalent to u+u' where u=X'Y'Z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, got it , tx

OpenStudy (freckles):

k

OpenStudy (freckles):

Though you could just look at X'Y'Z instead of replacing it with u and assume X'Y'Z is true and so (X'Y'Z)' is false so (X'Y'Z)+(X'Y'Z)' is true and then do something similar for assuming X'Y'Z is false ....
