OpenStudy (elijah33):

A cell of an organism has four chromosomes. It undergoes a process at the end of which two daughter cells are produced. Each daughter cell has four chromosomes. Which process is described?

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (glitterychan):

There are two ways in which cells can divide and reproduce. One is meiosis and the other is mitosis. Meiosis (sexual) is when the number of chromosomes are reduced by half as a result of its separation. Mitosis (asexual) is when the cells divide in two, producing a replica with the same amount of chromosomes in the new cell. Since it is producing the equal number of chromosomes, or a replica of itself, what process do you think it is?
