well this is all i got
.Solve, using linear combination. 5x + 2y = –4 –3x + 2y = 12 Rearrange equation 1 2y = -4 - 5x Combine with equation 2 -3x - 4 - 5x = 12 -8x = 16 x = -2 y = (-4 + 10) / 2 = 3 Answer C. (–2, 3) 2.Use the graph to state the solution for the system. x – y = 3 (line a) x + y = 3 (line b) Re-arrange into the form y = y = x - 3 (line a) y = 3 - x (line b) Now plot these on a graph, since they are straight lines you will only need two points each line a (0, -3) (3, 0) line b (0, 3) (3, 0) You will see that your two lines intersect at the point (3, 0) which is the solution C. (3, 0) 3.How many solutions are there to the following system of equations? 3x – 9y = 0 –x + 3y = –3 Divide the first equation by 3, and rearrange 3y = x Rearrange the second equation 3y = x - 3 You see that on a graph these two lines would be parallel, therefore the system has no solutions A. 0 4.Solve this system of equations using any method. 3x – y = 4 x + 2y = 13 Re-arrange equation one and substitute into equation 2 y = 3x - 4 x + 6x - 8 = 13 7x = 21 x = 3 y = 5 C. (3, 5) 5.Which shows a system of equations to solve the following problem? Let c be the number of child tickets and a be the number of adult tickets. Each child ticket for a ride costs $3, while each adult ticket costs $5. If the ride collected a total of $150, and 40 tickets were sold, how many of each type of ticket were sold? Number of tickets sold is 40 therefore a+c = 40 The ride collected 150 therefore 150 = 3c + 5a A.3c+5a=150 a+c=40 6.Each child ticket for a ride costs $2, while each adult ticket costs $6. If the ride collected a total of $148, and 38 tickets were sold, how many of each type of ticket were sold? 2c + 6a = 148 a + c = 38 Substitute equation 2 into equation 1 76 - 2a + 6a = 148 4a = 72 a = 18 c = 20 B. 20 child and 18 adult 7.How many solutions are there to the following system of equations? 6x – 9y = –9 2x – 3y = –6 Divide the top equation by 3 2x - 3y = -3 These two lines are parallel so there is no solution D. 0 8.In a recent golf match, Tiger’s score was 4 less than Phil’s score. Their combined scores totaled 140. Which of the following pairs of equations can be used to determine their scores? Let p represent Phil’s score and t represent Tiger’s score. Tigers score was 4 less than Phils, t = p -4 Combined score was 140, t+p=140 A. p + t = 140 p – t = 4 9.Solve the following system of equations. d + e = 6 d – e = 4 Substitute equation 2 into equation 1 d + d - 4 = 6 2d = 10 d = 5 e = 1 A. (5, 1) 10.Which equation will result if the substitution method is used to solve the following system of linear equations? x – y = 7 x = y + 3 Re-arrange equation 1 y = 7 - x, substitute into equation 2 x = (7 - x) + 3 B. x = (7 – x) + 3 11.Solve the following system of equations by linear combination: 3x + 2y = –7 5x – 4y = –19 From equation 1 -4y = 14 + 6x 5x + 14 + 6x = -19 11x = -33 x = -3 y = 1 B. The solution is (–3, 1).
thanks have to be sure
hope it helps
and really fast can you help me with somthing
tag me
what is this fan and medal thing
oh u medal people if they help u with something and u can fan anyone u choose that is good or whatever
oh cool thanks
but i really hope i helped im really smart and i want to put this gift to a good cause
so will you medal me
@ChantySquirrel1129**
i think this is wrong its someonev elses posting
@jhonyy9
@narissa are you here now ?
yes
so what is the first exercise ?
its the first thing that i posted some other posted all that other stuff
sorry i dont understand your words
please give this exercises - because here is in the night 1,17 minute o clock
what is the solution to the system of equations? Use the linear combination method 5x+2y=-4 -3+2y=12
next -3 you missed the x - yes ?
do you know what mean linear combination ?
so the answer is -2,3?
do you like learn it how to solve or directly answers ?
5x+2y=-4 -3+2y=12 - here where wan being x ?
ohhh its -3x sorry
@Mehek14
ok. 5x+2y=-4 - multiplie first equation by -1 and assume the same terms so what will get ? -3x+2y=12 -5x-2y=4 -3x+2y=12 ------------- -8x 0 = 16 -8x=16 x = 16/(-8) x= -2 so can you calculi now the y alone - ok- ?
so that was right -2,3
i dont know - can i check your calculi here now ?
yes
yes -2 and 3 are right sure - do you have again ?
i will post new one
ok
