OpenStudy (miss.rose):

I need help with 5 Life Science Questions. I will fan and medal if you help.

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

@k-nowhere

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alrighty

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

Here is the first question: Which is an example of an internal stimulus? a sudden change of air temperature an artificial light that attracts insects an increase in the amount of water available to a plant a decrease in oxygen levels in the blood during exercise This one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's correct. I was going to say it could also be B, but I realized that that has nothing to do from within.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That decrease in oxygen (an internal event) tempts you to catch your breath.

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

Okay. Thank you. Here is the second question: A dog may become frightened and cower when it hears loud thunder. This is an example of a reaction to what kind of stimuli? chemicals light touch sound This one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yuppers!

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

Okay. 3rd question: What is one example of a response? water lost from the lungs during breathing ivy growing around the pole of a fence the angle of the sun changing during the day outside temperature dropping at night This one? I am not to sure about this question, but this is just what I thought it might be. Feel free to tell me if I am wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be the third option this time. I think of it as a sort of depend v.s. independent variable situation. Water will always be lost as long as you breath no matter how fast or slow you breathe. The suns angle will always change during the day, due to gravitation forces and such. The temperature will always drop during the night, even if it's just slightly. A plant will grow, *but* since theres a fence in its way, it has to grow *around* the fence.

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

Thanks here is the next question: What type of stimulus is an allergen such as pollen? response to a stimulus This one? external stimulus internal stimulus inborn stimulus

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

@k-nowhere You still there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, I had to refresh the page. It lagged out lol. You were close, it was actually external.

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

I hate when the page lags out. It has happened to me while I was in a test and I freaked out. But anyway. Thanks. Next question:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ikr! Yup, thats correct.

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

Okay. Thank you. Well, I just want to say thank you for all your help. Have a great rest of your day or evening. Bye! ~Miss.Rose
