Please help! I'm stuck 1.)solve the system of equations by the substitution. X=-4y X+5y=2 A.)(-8,2) B.)(8,-2) C.)(2/9,-8/9) D.)(-12,3) 2.) solve the system of equations by elimination 3x+4y=31 2x-4y=-6 A.)(4,5) B.)(5,4) C.)(-5,12.5) D.)(5,-4)
Hello my names Hero, and ill take a look and se how i can help :) Just give me a sex to solve haha.
Ok
Sec to solve XD sorry typo.
Lol it's ok
hmmm...so am i in general solving for x? I dont see the answers as x, and i mean i took algebra a couple years back so from what i cant tell, your looking for a specific point as an answer?
Yea
lol okay, i cant remember exactly how to solve this, give me 5 minuets to research and ill have you an answer ready :)
Ok
The first one should be (-8, 2). The main reason is because -4y for x in the equation, and then you simplify both sides of the equation to get 2. Then, you do the same, again, but backwards. This time, you do x = -4y and put 2 in for y, and solve to get -8 :).
Does that help?
Yes and what about the second one ?
Okay, so using the info i jsut gave you, can you try to solve it?
basically, use the first equation to solve for x, then solve for y :)
I just need the answer.. I know how to do it just these two I can't find the answers for along with another question
Oh okay, well it should be 5, 4 for number 2 then :)
Ok can I tag you in my last question
:) sure.
Ok I did
