Will medal and fan if you could help I'd be thankful :3 Based on your knowledge of cultural diffusion, to which state would a New York-based business likely expand? A: The next location would likely be in Texas because of its large size B: The next location would likely be in Illinois because Chicago borders Lake Michigan C: The next location would likely be in Pennsylvania because it is close to New York D: The next location would likely be in California because of its large population. My guess is D
Sorry, forgot to add the map!
Which state do you think is bigger. Texas or Calafornia
Hm, I think California since it is a very popular state and has a huge population..
So, should we eliminate any answers or agree on one now?
but wouldnt it be easier to expand to a closer state?
But, wouldn't they want to expand their company to others farther way from it so they could have the whole state know about it instead of having it in one tiny part of the USA?
Well lets eliminate. What answer choices have no reasonable explanation that relates to the question?
We could eliminate A and C?
What about B? Does the border on Lake Michigan matter to the question?
No, it doesn't. So, does that mean D is the answer? I am kind of in the middle between D and B because of what you said earlier.
In my opinion, if I had this question, I would choose C, because I think it would be easier to gradually expand a business from coast to coast, rather than scattering around the country. Though this probably doesnt help you out much... sorry!
Companies are most likely to grow regionally. Expanding a business means expanding your supply lines, advertising and all that. If you jump accross the country. You have to start all that new. @emandile57 is right
Okay, thank you @wwhitlock and @emandile57 :)
